One of our first dates was a ski trip to Panorama Mountain Resort we both were trying to see if we were ski slope compatible which resulted in some funny moments and wonderful memories.

Once We figured out that we could ride together as well as we worked together off the slopes, we made it a priority to get out to the mountains as often as possible. this was taken at out second favorite resort Castle Mountain.

On this trip, I had the joy of introducing Koalton to two of my closest friends, Shelby Lutzak and her husband Colton, and Melanie Heupel and her husband Carsten, who are now both part of our wedding party. It meant so much to share that part of my world with him. In return, Koalton introduced me to one of his favorite pastimes: fishing. I’ll admit, I wasn’t thrilled at first (especially about having to touch the fish!), but over time, that faded. Now, we love finding quiet little spots where we can cast a line, unwind, and just enjoy each other’s company. It’s become one of our favorite ways to spend time together

Koalton is a proficient snowboarder, but I somehow managed to get him on skis. We took up cross-country skiing as another winter hobby and now enjoy skiing around the farm with my family.

There’s definitely a beautiful theme in our relationship, the mountains always bring us joy and draw us closer, offering a peaceful escape from our busy lives. Koalton works hard as a heavy-duty mechanic, and I keep things running on the family farm, so making time for each other is something we truly prioritize. We’ve learned to grow and laugh together while tumbling down snowy slopes. This photo was taken at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Before seeding season kicked into high gear, we escaped on a little getaway to Victoria it was an awesome trip, full of good laughs, great food and good conversation in some of the coolest cocktail bars we've been to to date.

Fast forward to February 9th, 2025—I had no idea what was coming just three days later… We were on the adventure of a lifetime: our first trip out of the country together, spending two amazing weeks exploring the Canarian island of Tenerife. One of the highlights was a breathtaking hike through the Masca Gorge, a stunningly rugged and mountainous area. It quickly became the most memorable hike we’ve ever done. Little did I know, Koalton had something even more unforgettable planned—the most memorable proposal ever. If you want a good story, you’ll have to ask how he managed to smuggle the ring past airport security right under my nose—or should I say, my arm!

And without a doubt, my favorite memory of all—the morning the love of my life proposed to me. While we were exploring the beautiful island of Tenerife, Koalton found the most stunning private garden in the historic town of Garachico. From my perspective, I was simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings while Koalton asked to take a picture of me. I got a little distracted by a cat (of course!), and when I turned around—there he was, down on one knee. It was the easiest "yes" of my life, and I couldn’t have been happier in that moment.
